One Stop Charity Center

In the name of Allah , the Most Graciuos, Most Merciful

Alhamdullilah, Since the establishment of Al-Khaadem, we have been directly involved in looking into the needs of community, which include the children and old folks. We find that we need to establish a strong and healthy relationship between the children, the young and the old.

Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. have said;
You are not one of us who do not respect the elders and who do not love the young amongst us.

Narrowing the generation gap will develop a more caring and loving society in the future. In order to serve the community better,Al-Khaadem embarked on a new project Home of Hope.

The Home of Hope is the flagship project of Al-Khaadem. A successful groundbreaking ceremony was done by the Minister for Rural and Regional Development, YB Dato Seri Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin last September 2006, and the project continues its drive for funds to make the building a reality. When ready, the Home of Hope - built on a 3-acre plot of land endowed to Al-Khaadem in Kota Kemuning will provide shelter to about 500 orphans, the elderly, battered women, single mothers, abandonen children and those who need help, irrespective of creed or colour.

Having the seniors and adults together with the children offer residents a sense of community, allowing Home of Hope to not only be a shelter, but also a nurturing and loving sanctuary for those in need. It will also allow the children the experience of an extended family situation, complete with the love and mentoring of foster grandparents, and vice versa. As children do not grow up in a vacuum, the community and context of Home of Hope environment will nurture a caring, loving and balanced relationship between the children and adults and encourage positive familial relationships. Basically, it is a ONE-STOP-CHARITY center.
Presently, Al-Khaadem is housing 50 orphans at two of its Activity Centres in Kuala Lumpur, while its Halfway House, also in Kuala Lumpur, offers help to needy folks, battered women and stranded travelers. As the present facilities can only cope with a limited number of cases, Al-Khaadem has to turn away many deserving recipients. As such, the completion of Home of Hope will provide a much needed reprieve.

Objective

1. To Develop a better understanding between the young and the old
2. To Educate the young and the old. To care and respect the elders
with love and understanding.

3. To create awareness amongst the elders inspite of their age, that
they can still contribute to the young because of their experiences
that they have gone through in their life
4. To include Islamic moral values in their children
5. To give an opportunity to the elders to spend their times engaging in amal soleh
6. To equip the children with vocational skills so they can be more
skillful

The Home of Hope got a much needed boost when it was featured in the local news papers, such as The News Strait Times, The Star and Utusan Malaysia. President Ustaz Hussain Yee was interviewed on the Home's plans and progress as well as Al-Khaadem's hopes to making it a sanctuary for the orphaned and the old.

Fund Rising

The total development cost for Al-Khaadem's ONE-STOP-CHARITY-CENTER ,
Home of Hope is RM 6,515,000.00. Alhamdullilah, out of endless effort of our
steering committee members, the money were generated from kind hearted contributors locally and from abroad. This amount is collected through direct donations, and through various activities such as:
i. Fund raising dinners and luncheons hosted by specially invited guests
such as Sister Yvonne Ridley ('ex-Taliban 'captive' whom embrasses Islam)

ii.Sales of Islamic calendars, Ramadhan cards, posters, bookmarks, books, CD collection and the Hereafter Investment Trust certificates (Sijil Amanah Saham Akhirat)

However, monies collected todate are still short , from the total development cost. Such we appeal to your kind generosity for donations to help make this project a success one, InsyaAllah. We do accept your sadaqah or zakat for this project. For further enquiries, kindly contact :

Prophet Muhammad SAW said :
"He who removes from a believer one of his difficulties of the world, Allah
will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection; and he who finds
relief for a hard-pressed person, Allah will make things easy for him on the Day of Resurrection;…Allah supports His slave as long as the slave is
supportive of his brother. [Muslim]

May your kind and generous contribution be blessed and repaid with manifold
favours by Allah SWT, Ameen Ya Rabbal Alamin
