Public Lecture: Muhammad S.A.W.: Entrepreneur, Environmentalist & Role Model For All

Muhammad S.A.W. is one of the most renowned figures in history. He has been credited with many achievements. He was a leader, commander and guide for the first Muslims. He continues to serve as a source of guidance and inspiration for Muslims today, even though he has passed away long ago.

As Muslims, we are taught to emulate, as much as possible, Rasulullah S.A.W. behaviours, actions and mannerisms. This is because he is the kind of person that all of us should aspire towards. However, in recent times, we place more emphasis on Muhammad’s S.A.W. spiritual practices, forgetting that he was, in fact, a very holistic and well-rounded personality.

Muhammad S.A.W. was more than a spiritual guide. He was also a savvy entrepreneur and a dedicated environmentalist. Beyond that, he is the perfect role model that all Muslim youths should look up to.

This talk aims to expose young Muslims to Rasulullah’s S.A.W. entrepreneurial and environmental activities, thus reminding them that there is so much more to him than what they already know.

By doing so, this talk hopes to convince young Muslims that participating in entrepreneurship and environmental activities will allow them fulfil some of their duties as a good Muslim.

By the end of this talk, the organisers aim to recruit volunteers to fill the ranks of the newly-initiated Positive Green project, a recycling project in which student volunteers collect used cooking oil and sell them to Bio-diesel manufacturers with the aim of allowing students to make a tidy profit and help keep the environment clean at the same time
